Elementens Värld (The World of the Elements) is a Swedish children’s book concept set in a magical universe where the four natural elements water, earth, air and fire are living characters. It follows these element characters on gentle adventures centered around friendship, emotions and learning to cooperate despite their differences.
In the first story, Sagostormen, the character Vinda, who represents air, is swept away by a storm and meets other elements on the journey back home. The stories are both cozy and educational, helping children understand themselves, others and nature through imaginative storytelling.

Mestadels gör jag vektorfiler från Alexanders redan fantastiska illustrationer (förbereder mig för animation) men ibland experimenterar jag med Illustrator med olika resurser, som här med pumpan. Trollstav gjord direkt i After Effects.

Så vad gör jag?
This project started with a simple task:
to bring motion to a still image connected to the lullaby “Fall Asleep in a Second” from Elemental World.
Since no vector assets were available, the process began in Adobe Illustrator, where the original artwork was carefully vectorized and separated into layers. This step was essential to prepare the scene for animation and to allow individual elements to move independently.
The animation itself was created in Adobe After Effects, focusing on subtle, atmospheric motion rather than anything too distracting. The goal was to match the calm, dreamy tone of the lullaby, using gentle scale shifts, soft opacity variations, and slow, organic movement to create a sense of life in the scene.
